What if AI Made Work More Human?

When people hear “AI at work,” they think of job loss.

Automation.

Dehumanization.

And who can blame them?

Headlines are filled with layoffs, hiring freezes, and restructures—with AI cited as the reason. And in many cases, it is.

But here’s what we’re not talking enough about:

AI isn’t inherently dehumanizing.

What if AI—done right—could make work more human?

That’s not just a philosophy. It’s what we’re building every day.

The Agentic Enterprise: A Human-AI Partnership

We’ve deployed over 5,000 AI-powered workflows with our customers through our Unified Agentforce Platform for powering AI agent to take actions across the enterprise.

Within Salesforce, we’ve achieved 90% AI adoption in engineering. We’ve rolled out tools like Google Notebook LM to help people reflect on their own stories and celebrate their strengths. And we’ve ignited a grassroots movement through AI Thoughtluck, where teams come together to share how agents are making their work more meaningful.

Together, these programs form the foundation of what I call the Agentic Enterprise™:

A model where AI doesn’t replace people—but creates the space for empathycreativityjoy and strategic thinking to thrive.

If traditional work systems were built for output, Agentic AI systems are built for elevation—freeing humans to refocus on connection, meaningful, and human-led leadership.

When the “doing” is handled by AI, the “becoming” becomes possible.

The Big Question: How Do I Prepare?

This isn’t just a vision. It’s a roadmap.

If you want to be AI-native—not just AI-aware—here are four places to start:

1. Understand What an AI Agent Is

AI agents aren’t just bots. They’re goal-driven systems that take initiative on your behalf. They execute, reason, and adapt—like digital teammates.

2. Meet the Role of the Future: Agent Manager

Someone has to build, test, monitor, and tune agents. That’s the job of an Agent Manager—a role emerging in RevOps, Customer Success, and Digital Marketing teams that already straddle systems and outcomes.

3. Build Your First Agent

You don’t need to be an engineer. You can start by using no-code platforms or prompts tailored to your function. If you can design a workflow in Notion or Salesforce, you’re closer than you think.

4. Reskill Around Your Domain

You already have expertise—whether it’s insurance, logistics, or HR. That’s your superpower. AI won’t replace that—it will amplify it. Learn how to integrate AI agents into what you already know.

One Salesforce engineer told me, “AI Ops manages about 30% of incidents by monitoring various data sources and performing incident remediation. This relieves internal teams from dealing with known and repeated incidents related to their service.” That’s not just productivity. That’s peace of mind.

Urgency = Opportunity

We are at a crossroads.

Those who act today will shape the future.

Those who hesitate may find themselves divided out of it.

AI is accelerating faster than most people are ready for. And while fear and hype dominate the headlines, what people are really asking is:

“What do I do next?”

This newsletter—and my work—exists to answer that.

Not with speculation, but with systems.

Not with doom, but with design.

Because I believe this deeply:

AI, used well, is the most human advancement we’ve ever created.

Let’s build the future—intentionally, together.
